Orange peel skin, cottage cheese thighs, you know what I am talking about – Cellulite. That horrible visible layer of fat underneath the skin that affects mainly women, white women, that’s why it is called the white woman’s curse.
But what if I told you that you can not only get rid of cellulite but you can also prevent it from appearing in the first place. Sounds too good to be true but hear me out, let me explain.
Cellulite only came about in the last 50 or so years, well the name of it did. It has actually been around for much longer we can see it in old paintings. That would lead you to believe that it has nothing to do with modern lifestyle but that is where you are wrong.
Now you are probably thinking that I do not have a clue what I am talking about, that’s when I tell you that the women you see in the paintings were wealthy women, but what does that have to do with modern living? Wealthy women basically had similar lifestyles to the modern middle class women in regards to how much dairy they consumed, how much meat they ate, how much exercise they got and how much alcohol they drank.
What Causes Cellulite?
While the answer to that is not one hundred percent certain, experts suggest that there are factors that cause cellulite such as;
Lack of circulation – this can be linked to lack of physical exercise, back in the day general upkeep of the house involved hours of physical labor, it was hard work but it kept women trim and cellulite free.
Hormone inbalance – you can thank modern dairy practices for this not to mention the amount of xenoestrogens in our diet, while these are not actual hormones they behave in the same way. They can be found in pesticides, plastic packaging and a whole host of other food additives and cosmetics.
Acidic body’s – this is caused from modern luxuries such as; coffee, alcohol, refined sugar, meat and most processed foods in general. Also caused by a lack of fresh whole foods – fruit, vegetables ancient grains etc.
Being overweight – while it is true that thin people also suffer from cellulite, it is just much more obvious in overweight people.
Still not convinced? Look at your average asian women, especially one from an underdeveloped country – they consume little to no dairy, eat mainly vegetables and little meat and have to work hard, end result= no cellulite! Compare that to the average asian woman who has adopted the western lifestyle.
Why do they call it the white women’s curse?
