Sufjan Steven’s newest album, Illinois, is amazing. Somehow Sufjanhas managed to give us insight into his love, life, and faith once again. This time he’s done it in an album about a state he has never even lived in. The fact that Sufjanis planning on releasing an album per state until he completes all fifty has left me in a fit of joy.

Go out and buy Illinois, and while you’re at it buy Greetings From Michigan: The Great Lakes State and Seven Swans as well. I’ve ordered A Sun Came and Enjoy Your Rabbit but haven’t heard them yet, I’d imagine they are just as good as all his other albums.
