I installed my $30 copy of Windows 7 Professional on Saturday. So far, so good; it’s streamlined and fast, a very solid release. That being said, I never really had any issues with Windows Vista so I’m unsure if I’m a good test case for the usability of an OS.

Personally, I think that most the Windows Vista complaints were people upset with change, no matter how big or small. These are the same people who complain whenever Facebook updates its layout.

Has anyone else installed Windows 7 this past week? If so, what did you think of it? If not, why?

1. I have not installed windows 7 yet but I just ordered a new laptop with has it so I will be experiencing it soon. I’m sure its better than vista but that bar was set pretty low.

1. My copy of windows 7 is already ordered.
   I’m normally a Mac user, but the new windows OS is praised so high that I want to take a closer look at it.
   And I have to agree, the Facebook complaints are going on my nerves too. :D

1. I haven’t installed it yet. But some of my friends that have bought it said it is way better than Vista, and their PC boots a lot faster. I think I’m going to buy it next week. Wish me luck

1. Windows 7 is faster and more reliable than Windows Vista or Windows XP. Windows 7 features is better than Windows Vista I have try it once.

1. I still prefer WinXP for a stable windows version. Wait until Microsoft launch their service pack 1 for Windows7.

1. Mac Os X is my favorite. Now you can install Mac OS on your PC/Notebook with Intel procs. It’s called Hackintosh! Great stuff!

1. Really I never get to like Vista. Even though I use it because I was stuck with it on my laptop (I didn’t have the courage of downgrading the laptop to WinXP), I still prefer winxp which I have on my desktop. I look forward to a better experience with Window 7
